Also, we love collaborating with Fave Events and DJ dSeev ("Deceive") not only for really good music, but because they can match our level of bespoke customisation -from an entertainment point of view! As both of our brides work in the transport sector, he curated some faux train announcements to herald the party!

It is then time for celebrations. The couple has chosen the Grounds of Eveleigh as their venue, which is a gorgeous ballroom in the South Eveleigh complex in Redfern.

The primary challenge in designing for this space is the sheer size of it -it is huge. It has a capacity maximum of 340 pax, whereas Tracy and Vy's party was only ~160 guests. It also has very high ceilings. We had to employ some clever spatial design techniques to make the space not look bare.

To occupy the vertical space, we utilised draping and... lighting! The organic, flowing drapes added an unmistakable romantic touch to everything. We also worked closely with the team from AV360 to create many different mood throughout the evening (cycling through bright and airy, moody and romantic, and party vibes), as well as intentional spot-lighting and pin-lighting to highlight different elements of the room.

To utilise the large floorspace in an intentional way, we shaped the seating arrangements in an interesting 'U' pattern. Fortunately we had a huge amount of flowers to repurpose from the 8m long Runway at the ceremony, and so we created a wildflower garden in between the tables.

We transformed this space and it was striking, from whichever vantage point you chose in the room.

One thing that the couple was very clear about from the very beginning was they wanted a phenomenal  celebration.

Thus there was a need for a sizeable amount of space for dancing. To avoid the dance floor from making the room look bare, guests are ushered in by two ballerinas -dancing, gliding, and owning the space. They added an air of elegance and a sense of formality as the reception kicks on too, before it slowly descended into a party that was out of this world.
