The Styling Team from First Sunday was engaged to set the scene for a fashion editorial shoot for Lillian Khallouf's latest collection of bridal wear - Chapter 20.
Lillian Khallouf is known for her elegant, couture-forward bridal wear. She bridges classic femininity with modern sophistication, excellent craftmanship with romantic and refined aesthetic.
A moment for the wearable bouquet
This pearl bouquet is our answer to the fashion line's beautiful amalgamation of modernity and traditional bridal dress romance. Can you picture this same shoot with a traditional bouquet? Neither could we.
You may also notice how some of the lilies were closed, but some were blooming? We employed a temperature control technique in the lead up to the shoot to achieve that effect.
This bouquet took 3.5 hours to make, which is 3x longer than the average time it takes to make the perfect bouquet. The result? A bouquet deserves it's own moment.
An Ode to Darling House
The location for this shoot was also phenomenal. Darling House is a new(ish) boutique hotel in the Rocks, Sydney.
We first visited DH earlier in the year, and this place speaks to us immediately. They shared many of the same design philosophies that we bring to our events: no detail is too small, and every element needs to be considered and intentional.
We highly recommend a visit or a stay if you would like to immerse yourself in an architectural and design wonder.
